My weekend/ Chair Squats

I was excited for this past weekend because my dad who lives in Florida came into town. He was in town for the Colts vs Broncos game. I do not get to see him very often so I was excited. I was not however going to the game, which after yesterdays turn out I wish I had!
I had Friday off as well so I was able to spend some time with some friends on Mass Ave!
I woke up early Saturday morning to get a good workout in before I went and picked my dad up. Me, Joe, and my dad decided to go to Milktooth, which is a fairly new brunch place in fountain square. Rumor has it that it is soo delicious so I wanted to give it a try. It was a gorgeous day outside and they were packed! We had to wait for over an hour, which was a bummer. Our meals came super fast which helped, but for the long wait it was almost not worth it. Afterwards, my dad and I walked around downtown a bit and watched some of the IU vs Iowa game. We then headed back north and I was able to show him the fitness studio as he had not seen it yet! We had reservations at Ruth Chris around 7, so we went to get ready. I was excited to get dressed up a bit as I am always in workout clothes, and it feels soo nice to feel girly! I had to call it an early night on Saturday because I had a 10 hour shift waiting for me in the morning. Woof.

Chair Squats
The video below is of me doing chair squats. I love these especially on quad focus day! I keep my stance fairly narrow to really engage those quads. Make sure you really sit into the chair. Also, keep your feet flat on the ground and always press through those heels! Do 10-12 reps for 5 sets!
