How to not break the bank on "gym swag"

Hi guys! It has been wayyyyy too long since my last post, I am sorry! I have to say I am experiencing a case of the "winter blues." I have been quite unmotivated to do anything lately, except the basics. I need to snap out of it. But yes, even I can become in a funk and get out of my positive habits. It is winter time, so all I basically want to do is workout, work, eat, and stay in and "Netflix and chill." It's going to stop....now....hopefully! Haha.

Anyways, if any of you have seen me at the gym, or just know me you know how I may have a slight problem with my gym swag. I have plenty, some people could say too much. But it is my work attire too, and a TAX WRITE OFF. So, haters leave me be. Haha. I will be the first to admit that shit does not come cheap! But there are ways to keep your gym swag game strong and still have money to actually pay your bills.

Just to show you on what I am wearing pictured above. Leggings are from Target, $30. I LOVE how they fit, and they are snug in all the right places. The tank is from Forever 21 and it was $5 and the shirt I am wearing over the tank is also from Forever 21, which was $10. Simple, cute, and cheap.

Below are places I love to go for a good deal for cute, affordable gym clothes.

Forever 21: They have expanded their fitness attire selection like crazy! Luckily, once you get into the store they should have it separate from everything else. I know that place can give me anxiety the minute I walk in the door because it is so much going on in one place. Now this place loves to cater to the girls that weigh 2lbs, so sometimes you have to do a little hunting to something that doesn't fit your kids barbie doll.

Target: Target has also done a lot in the gym attire selection. Some of their stuff isn't the most affordable for the quality, but most of it is. This is my go to place for sports bras. They have so many colors and styles!

Fabletics: I have never purchased anything from Kate Hudson's line, but I have definately checked out the selection and it does seem quite affordable and stylish. I have also heard the quality is not the best however.

Old Navy: I am going to be real honest with you. I loathe Old Navy, except in the right situations. They're workout clothes can be quite a steal, but just for the generics. I usually go there for tanks and sports bras. I have never been a fan of their leggings, maybe that is because everytime I go I haven't been impressed. But I think other people have had better luck! I also heard buying stuff online for them is the way to go!

TJ MAXX and Marshalls: THIS IS MY ALL TIME FAVORITE. Brand name stuff (Nike, Under Armour, Reebok, etc) for cheap! You have to be in the mood to hunt, but I have always walked out with some pretty good stuff at an affordable price.

DSW: DSW is a great place for shoes. If you have been following me or a friend of mine for awhile now you know I have a severe severe addiction to tennis shoes. But if you need some new sneakers for the gym definately check them out. I choose to invest a decent amount in most of my shoes unless its for everyday wear because I want to make sure it is the correct shoe for my foot and for lifting. Your foot placement and how you carry your weight on your foot is a huge factor, just something to think about!

MAKE YOUR OWN: I have a ton of tanks that I chose to cut up and make a cute gym tank. Totally worth it if you never wear any of those old shirts. There are plenty of YouTube tutorials on how to do so!

Hope I gave you some great ideas to be able to dress for the gym on a budget! I promise I wont be so long on my next blog post!

Cheers!

Marisha
